- Activate your metabolism by starting the day with a healthy breakfast which contains proteins and fiber
- TIP – Minimize refined sugar: Avoid sugary cereal, pancakes, pastries, instant oatmeal
- Combat stress. Studies have shown that the secretion of cortisol (a hormone your body produces during times of stress) is correlated with an increase in belly fat.
- cut down stress by having a good sleep of at least 7 hours. Stop using cellphones or computers 30min before bedtime. Separate your work space from your sleeping space.
- Make time to relax

- Walk
- walk everywhere: to school , work, church, market, grocery . By walking you burn calories
- Replace refined grains with whole grains in your diet
- Whole grains are high in fiber, which makes you feel full longer. This will help you eat less and help you lose weight
- Avoid white grains. For instance, eat brown wheat bread instead of over-processed white bread, and favor wild brown rice over white rice.
- Reduce alcohol, sugary drinks (like sweet tea, fruit punch, fruit juice, Coke, 7-Up, Pepsi and all the diet drinks) and carbonated beverages.
