On Saturday I told my personal story as an anecdote, for the first time to a big audience as keynote speaker of EXSSA UK CONVENTION 2016. For weeks I prayed for God to put a message in my heart which befits this honor bestowed on me. I prayed even harder when I learned the previous speakers were women in the magnitude of Dr. Joyce Ashuntantang and sister Egbe Mbiwan Monjimbo ; how am I supposed to step in their strides?
God kept saying “tell your story because it is one of GRACE and girls’ Education”. GOD’S GRACE through people who were points of light, who impacted the value of education in my life and many who stepped in to take me to another level when I felt lost amidst dream killers, financial difficulties, xenophobia etc.
With the blessings of the above mentioned women, I delivered my message. It is now my prayer that those who were inspired should STEP IN THE LIGHT and turn WORDS INTO ACTION. That they should take at least one girl by the hand and lead them through Education.
If you don’t know where to start, EXSSA UK is a good address. Contact EXSSA UK (they are on Facebook too) and support one of their projects geared towards educating the girl child.
Thank you EXSSA UK for blessing and inspiring me.
