Monkey Kola

The Monkey Kola is an edible tasty fruit which grows in west and central Africa. Monkey kola is a common name given to various Cola spp (white, yellow and red), common in local markets during the peak season from June to November. Native people of southern Nigeria and Cameroon relish Monkey Kola.
It is also called “Achicha” or “Ochiricha” in Igbo and “Ndiyah” in Efik and Ibibio.
